Description
Kuromasu is a challenging logic puzzle. The goal is to find the black fields on a grid with numbers, where a number indicates how many white fields this number can "see" in horizontal and vertical directions, while black fields block the view. Be careful though, black fields cannot be next to each other, and all white fields must remain connected to each other! Each puzzle has only one solution, which can be reached through logical reasoning, no guessing needed!
Solving these logic puzzles can be pretty difficult, but while playing, you can always check if your solution is correct so far, and if you are stuck, you can always ask for a hint.

About the puzzle
Kuromasu can be classified as a binary determination puzzle, like Hitori or Nurikabe, or as object placement puzzle like Battleships or Star Battle (Two not Touch). The puzzle is invented by the Japanese puzzle publishing company Nikoli and it first appeared in 1991. The word kuromasu is Japanese and translates to something like "where are the black fields". All puzzles in this app are created by brennerd.
