Balls-Jars Puzzle Sorting Game is a 100% free game.
You can pick up a ball from any jar. You have to drop it into an empty jar or a jar with the top ball having the same color. You have to drop a ball before you can pick up another one. Arrange you picks and drops of the balls so that all balls of same color will land into one jar.
If you stuck, help is right at your finger tip! It can help you make a move or a sequence of moves to finish your game. It can also be smart enough to prompt you that a move you just made is not a good one, i.e. will get your game to some unsolvable state.
Sounds simple enough? Yes, but only when there's not that many colors. Think about the number of different states, i.e. the ways you can arrange 20 colors into 20 jars. It's 80!/(4!)^20 = 1.78e91. It would be a challenge to search for a solution on that huge state space both in term of time and memory. Let's see how your little phone can deal with that when you ask for its help to make a move!
Don't be afraid to try with small number of colors, e.g. 5 or less; and using more number of empty/extra jars to help. You can add 1 additional jar if you stuck in the middle of the same. You can undo and try another path; and of course, you can always use Help to make a move. Get some taste with it and you can always push your limit with more colors and/or less empty/extra jars as you go on.
On-going challenge for me and possible future updates to the game:
1. Offer more number of colors.
2. Optimize the algorithm to use less memory and run faster.
3. Better graphical interface to make the game more interesting.
