PRO GAME
ProfIT is a "guess the term" board game, an adaptation of the popular "crocodile" / "activity" mechanics, but about IT. The task of the game is to successfully present words from the IT world and earn points. Detailed rules are in the appendix.
- Reason for the game: a party, acquaintance, tournaments, an occasion to talk with children about the profession

- Game time: 20-90 minutes

Since we are all now a bit of IT people, not only IT specialists can play it.
ABOUT APP
Now we have launched a promotional version of the application, but during the summer of 2023 we will also introduce gaming functionality.
1) Assistant for scoring. This is convenient when you have a printed version of the game, many players, parallel games in a tournament format. You need to pass the smartphone from player to player and enter information for each move. The application will show the results of the move, round and the whole game. The winners will receive a promotional code to purchase the printed version of ProfIT.
2) Demo version of the main game pack (48 terms out of 360) on the main IT topics: development, design and analytics, testing, administration, management, personnel, IT professions. This number of terms is enough for 100+ minutes of playing time.
3) Additional game extensions, for example, "Students in IT" (48 terms). Game topics: subjects and how to master them, basic IT knowledge and situations typical for beginners.
ABOUT AUTHORS
The authors of ProfIT are IT people who wanted not only to work in IT, but also to play IT. At the end of 2021, as part of the Profession Stories project, we created a printed version of the game. In the spring of 2023, together with the Digital Department of KAI, we began the development of a mobile application and a web service that provides a dictionary of IT terms used in the game and IT tests.
