The game’s narrative and premise aren’t exactly as original as many might expect but its recruitment array of Agents is definitely what you’ll be staying for, especially when there are many of them!
Via Fate: Goddess Awakening‘s summoning system, different people from the game’s different factions will come to your aid. With their help, you’ll get to uncover the real masterminds behind the game’s menacing plot, besides strengthening your bonds with your allies as well.
Combat Basics

In Fate: Goddess Awakening, combat is automatic and turn-based, meaning you’ll have limited interactions with your Agents once the fighting begins. As such, your understanding of their racial bonuses and skills’ turn orders are integral to winning fights, particularly the tougher ones later.
The game’s combat functions similarly to Last Fortress: Underground, and that’s why the Agents you recruit through its summoning system are your most crucial assets.

First and foremost, your Agents can belong to one of six different races, each being:
- Celestial
- Fiend
- Beastkin
- Human
- Mech
- Void
Beastkins, Humans, and Mechs have different elemental pros and cons against each other, so you need to keep this in mind when lining up your team. Celestials and Fiends work the same way albeit their elemental relationship is exclusive between them (isn’t affected by Beastkins, Humans, and Mechs).
So far, Void characters seem to be the most powerful, but this might change in the future due to balancing reasons. Regardless, no matter which hero you get, your strategic decisions matter most, meaning you need to know which character to pick for specific fights to maximize winning chances.
Recruiting Agents

To excel in battles, you need to recruit the ideal Agents into your lineup as best as possible. Although lower-tier units can still get you through the whole game, getting the rarer ones can make things far more easier in the long run.
As said earlier, combat is automatic, so you can’t influence the outcomes directly. Hence, your Agents’ stats and skillsets mean EVERYTHING. This includes the equipment that each character wears as well, translating to gear grind for endgame content.

Either way, without the help of your trusted Agents, you won’t get far, so whenever you have the chance to summon them, it might be best to do so. Speaking of which, there are three different summoning types you can opt for depending on the resources (Summoning Tickets) that you have:
- Normal Summon
- Advanced Summon
- Friendship Summon
As their names suggest, their respective tickets offer different percentages for you to acquire the Agents, each falling under one of the following tiers:
- 3-Star Agent
- 4-Star Agent
- 5-Star Agent

Commonly, higher-tier units have better overall stats, but they are also harder to obtain. Additionally, the Summoning Tickets are difficult to get, normally awarded for static in-game progression or meeting the daily grind.
Still, another aspect that can help improve your existing allies, regardless of their ranking, is their social relationship with you. You can visit them in the Agent Dormitory to chat and provide gifts, elevating their morale which then translates to stat boosts.
This is another good way to bolster your team’s Combat Power (CP), but you should definitely explore interactions with your heroes often, for role-playing purposes.
Resources And Currencies

There are many resources to collect in Fate: Goddess Awakening, but as the player, the most valuable to you are:
- Gold
- Gold is required for almost everything in the game.
- Diamond
- Special gear, progression, and items are only acquired by spending Diamonds.
These can be collected by playing the game dedicatedly; completing its multitude of daily quests, event milestones, and many more. Still, the quickest way to get more – including instant recruitment of the best heroes – is by supporting the developers through in-game purchases.

When it comes to the Agents themselves, these two resources are what you’ll need the most:
- Aura
- The resource used for leveling up Agents.
- Advancement Stones
- Materials consumed by Agents to advance to a higher tier (e.g. 3-Stars to 4-Stars).
These two are easily obtainable as victory rewards, but you need to spend them wisely to ensure that you don’t run out of them to empower your most-used characters. This won’t be an issue in the early game but can become a nuisance once you’re deeper into the story (or fighting others online in Arena).
