Creatures Of The Deep is a free-to-play fishing game that was developed by Infinite Dreams. This game is available on the Play Store for anyone with a mobile to download. If you are a fisherman/woman by heart, you know how much patience and persistence you need to catch that big fish!
Creatures Of The Deep is very much the same. Your goal is to catch various types of fish, while also leveling up to achieve better items that become available as you do so. Monstrosities in the ocean can often be seen swimming beneath your boat. One can only wonder how thrilling it would be to catch one of them!
In this Ultimate Beginners Guide, we will give you tips that can help you play the game, and hopefully, you will catch that monster!

Getting Started
You start the game off on the ocean in your little boat. To move around you can either use the circle on the bottom left-hand side of your screen, or you can tap anywhere on the screen to move in that direction.
You start off with a wooden rod to catch fish with. These do break after a while and can be replaced in the store.

As you begin, the objectives will be marked on your screen, usually by Coco. You need to move around, find the Captain, “Cap’n Slappy”, and he will give you your first mission.
To talk to the Captain, all you need to do is approach the boat, select his boat as soon as his face appears, and simply read his instructions. Once he has told you what to do, you can see the broken circle on your map.

There will be various missions available from different ships located on the map. After completing a few missions you will need to wait for the next day to come before more missions are available.
Note that they do not show you every time where to do the missions, as you progress, they specify landmarks and directions, such as North, East, South, and West. Later on, it becomes North-East, South-West, etc.
The landmarks can be found while sailing around the map, the name will appear on the top of your screen so take note of those.
You can count on Coco to give you instructions as well. He directs you and gives you tips on new fish you have caught, as well as when you have finished your mission.

Character Options
You can decide what your character will look like and what character name you would like to display to other people. Select the image and icon to choose the character that you prefer the most.

The Harbor

You will need to make a once-off purchase to unlock a new destination. The coins that you earn from selling fish, at the harbor will help you. Missions completed also award you coins.
The harbor also has many different features available. You will need to collect wood to open certain things, such as the fish tank, lockbox, and Dockyard among others.
Wood and other items can be found floating on the ocean, so be sure to look for them! Once you have added the wood required of you, you will be able to open the features by making a coin purchase.

Note that there is a waiting time after you have added the resources and made the coin purchase. For example, the dock takes a full day to complete.
Gameplay: Let’s go fishing!
Fishing on Creatures of the Deep is exciting and requires a lot of patience, very much the same as if you would go fishing in the real world.
To catch a fish, you will need to ensure your boat on the map comes to a complete standstill. Thereafter, you would need to select the fishing hook that appears above your boat.

You will then notice your screen zoom in a bit.
Steps to Help You Catch a Fish:
Tap anywhere in the circle to cast your fishing line.
Wait for the red circle to appear white, this will occur after the red float bobs, sometimes once or twice, depending on the size of the fish. The float can bob up to five times, sometimes more.

As soon as you see the float is white, tap on your screen to reel the fish in.
You will see the fish being reeled in, and if it is a small catch, you will be able to reel it in without any extra steps.

Garbage can also be caught. This is needed for certain tasks that are given to you throughout the game.

The Big Catch:
Catching a big fish requires a different strategy. There are times when you will need special bait, and other times you are lucky enough to snag one on the line.
Special bait can be acquired in the store on the island where you dock your boat, as well as from some missions you have completed.
Accessing your bait before you start fishing is simple. Select your bag, click on the blue cooler box, and tap on the bait you want to use.

Before you cast the line, you will need to select the bait from your inventory, located on the bottom-left-hand side. Then you will need to select the bait next to the bag on the bottom right-hand side of your screen after exiting the inventory.
It will glow once you have selected it, cast the bait into any spot in the circle, thereafter, you can cast your line again into that same spot.
If you have hooked a larger fish, a mini screen will appear at the bottom of your screen, telling you to reel faster.
At this point, you will need to alternate between holding your finger on the screen and letting go. To catch the fish, the line has to remain in the perfect bar as long as you can keep it there.

When you catch a big fish like this, it does not reel back to your boat, it takes a while and you need to play the fish to catch it.
When you do catch it, it is worth it! These are ranked rare, epic, or higher-level fish.

Take note that if you select the button next to the tick on the screen, you will release the fish, so be careful. This is also useful if your inventory is full and you would like to keep a specific item in your inventory.
Various fishing rods in the island store will last longer, depending on which option you choose. The fiber-glass rod, for example, is more efficient to use for larger fish than the wooden fishing rod.
When you select the rod in the store it will specify what type of rod it is, as well as the most efficient way to use the rod.
Night-time fishing will offer you a variety of species that are not available during the day. These fish will be available when your images take on a night-time effect.
Take note of what time of the day it is when you are fishing. This will enable you to complete your collection on various maps.
