Life Makeover – The Basics

Life Makeover is all about fashion, makeup, and becoming a successful supermodel. Your main goal is to have your character earn as many likes as popular on social media and become a popular model by matching outfits and makeup to various situations.

This can be achieved by progressing through the story, going to photoshoots, and various other events that you can choose to involve yourself with. Each of these events and gameplay modes feature their own unique gameplay mechanics so let’s take a closer look at them and get acquainted with the basics of the game.

Character Creation and Customization

As soon as you start Life Makeover, you will be greeted with a character creation screen where you can choose how your character will look and also give your character a name.

Wardrobe

The wardrobe is what you will be looking at most of the time when playing Life Makeover. As its name suggests, the wardrobe will allow you to customize your characters’ clothes, shoes, hairstyle, and other accessories that you will earn as you progress through the game. In addition, the wardrobe will also allow you to dye your clothes and make them even more stylish.

Life Makeover – Game Modes

Life Makeover features three main different gameplay modes, perhaps more, depending on what you consider a separate mode. However, let’s not get carried away as this is only a beginner’s guide and just focus on the three basic ones.

Story Quests

Story Quests is basically the story mode of the game that takes the player through a series of scripted events. The quests consist of different chapters and the player is tasked with completing a special set of requirements in each of them to further progress the story. Completing each chapter will award the player with various rewards such as fashion items, crafting materials, allies, and more.

Story Quests Stages

Story Quests can feature different types of stages so let’s take a closer look at each of them.

Styling Stages – This is the most common type of stage that you will be required to complete. The Styling stages cost energy to attempt and each and every one of them require the player to create an outfit that fulfills specific requirements. Successfully completing these stages will award you with gold, crafting items, fashions, etc.

Dialogue Stages – As you progress through the story, you will encounter various characters along the way and sometimes, you will be required to talk to these characters by selecting one of the dialogue options on the screen. These stages don’t have any requirements and don’t award you with anything. Their sole purpose is to advance the story.

Mind Simulation Stages –  These stages require the player to enter and explore the memories of a specific character. Mind Stages may require you to complete a specific task such as examining a teddy bear. They don’t cost any energy to complete nor do they award any currency when completed.

Photoshoot Stages – Photoshoot Stages require you to spend energy to complete them and consist of you creating a photo shoot with your character. To complete a photoshoot successfully, you will be required to pick a scene, select two different poses, choose the desired effects, and even edit the photos afterward. Completing photoshoots will award the player some gold and occasionally other items.

Mind Travel

Mind Travel is a side story mode in Life Makeover and each of its chapters is focused on one of the supporting characters that you will encounter during your gameplay sessions.

Each Mind Travel chapter consists of 10 story stages and the player is limited to ten free challenge attempts every day. Completing Mind Travel stages will award the player with fashions that can be used to make unique sets and completing each set will provide the player with an ally.

Endorsement Queen

Endorsement Queen is the third main game mode in Life Makeover and in essence, is a special event that allows the player to choose one of many different stores and companies to endorse. Upon choosing an establishment, the player will also be required to choose an ally.

Once they do so, the player will be able to earn a special currency known as chestnuts which can be used to purchase furniture for your home. In addition to chestnuts, the player will also gain crowns that can be used to unlock various themes within a district.

Life Makeover – Allies

Another important aspect of Life Makeover are allies. Allies are characters that you can obtain and send out to complete special missions which will in turn yield unique rewards for your character. Each ally comes with its own characteristics and can be used to achieve higher scores on missions, provided that you chose the right one for the job.

Allies come in three different qualities, R, SR, and SSR. R is the worst among them, followed by SR and SSR is the highest. Players can also level up and upgrade their allies by spending experience keys which they can earn by progressing through the story and completing missions.

Life Makeover – Daily Missions

Daily Missions are just one of many side features of Life Makeover. These are smaller tasks that the player can send out their allies to complete in order to earn various rewards including items and different types of currency.

Photo: Archosaur Games

Each mission has its own prerequisites and requires three allies to complete. Once the allies are out on a mission, they won’t be available for a specific amount of time that the mission takes to be completed.

Life Makeover – Lightcase

Lightcase is a gacha system of Life Makeover that serves as the main way of obtaining allies and outfits that you need to complete specific quests and story missions.

Photo: Archosaur Games

In order to use this feature you are required to spend radiant invitations which can be purchased with diamonds. Each use of this system will award you with a random reward so you may need to use it quite a few times to get the specific things that you need.

Life Makeover – Guilds

Guilds are a big part of Life Makeover and are pretty self-explanatory. The game offers the player a chance to join a guild and doing so will grant the player numerous advantages.

Photo: Archosaur Games

In turn, players can contribute to the guild in order to earn more member points which can be used to purchase upgrades and different items from the store. Players can also choose to visit the Guild Store once a week and purchase radiant invitations.

Life Makeover – Tips

Now that we have gotten the basics of the game and its gameplay systems out of the way, let’s take a look at some interesting tips and tricks that will no doubt improve your gaming experience by making it a lot more fun as well as a lot more productive.

Choose The Right Server

Everything is better when you have friends with whom you can share the experience and Life Makeover is no exception, especially because the game allows you and your friends to share rewards between yourselves.

Photo: Archosaur Games

However, this can become somewhat of an issue if you select the wrong server. Before starting the game, make sure that you talk to your friends and ask what server they are on so you can join them once you create your account. Keep in mind that this tip doesn’t apply if you are planning on playing Life Makeover alone.

Complete The Main Game Modes

We already mentioned that Life Makeover features three main game modes and it is our best advice that you complete all three of them as they come unlocked and as fast as possible. Various items and gameplay elements are locked behind these modes so it is a good idea to complete them first and unlock all the content.

Use Your Experience Keys Wisely

We already mentioned that you can use the experience keys that you come across to level up your allies. However, it is important to note that experience keys are a rare resource, and as such, they should be used with caution. Since there are different qualities of allies, your best bet would be to save your experience keys until you come across some SSR ones. Try not to waste your keys on allies that you gain at the start of the game for free as they are usually not great.

Conclusion

Overall, Life Makeover is a dress-up mobile game that mostly features two separate gameplay modes, the dress-up mode which is focused on fashion, makeup, and earning currency, and the home mode focused on spending currency and decorating your space. We hope that you find this guide helpful and that you are successful in your modeling career. Have fun.
