As the name suggests, God Of Idle – Merge Master is an idle game where we need to merge our equipment to strengthen our Barbarian and steadily advance through the Acts.

Developed by Wemade Connect, the game is super chill and doesn’t consume much of your time, ideal for those with a busy life.

However, the game assumes that everyone is already a seasoned player and doesn’t hold your hand too much. That’s why we’ve created this God Of Idle – Merge Master: Gameplay Tips & Tricks article to help you in your new mobile adventure.

Gameplay

God Of Idle – Merge Master has a simple gameplay loop. We are a violently aggressive barbarian who only knows how to smack his enemies continuously.

To help him in this offensive endeavor, we must buy new equipment found at the bottom of the screen and merge them to increase their level. The higher the level, the more complex and expensive the merges become.

As the Barbarian evolves, new features are unlocked in the game, such as companions, skills, other gameplay modes, and more. The barbarian levels up and acquires gold by killing enemies.

At the end of each act, there is a champion, a sort of boss. We can track the Barbarian’s progress with a line above the act we’re currently in.

The HP and MP of our Barbarian do not recover during the entire stage, only with potions or passively with some upgrades.

This is the basic gameplay of God Of Idle – Merge Master:

  • Watch your barbarian slaughter all enemies;
  • Collect gold and experience from them;
  • Buy new equipment and merge to the fullest;
  • Acquire gems and evolve your champion’s natural strengths with more upgrades and skills.

And, of course, asking for help from companions and pets is always a good idea.

Merge Equipment

Merging your equipment is essential. It’s the primary and fastest way to strengthen the Barbarian. As you level up, you unlock new equipment. Initially, you can only equip a weapon and a shield, but soon, you’ll enable the helm and boots.

Each piece of equipment enhances one of your character’s attributes, and we’ll highlight here what they do:

  • Weapons: increase the Attack of the Barbarian.
  • Shields: increase the HP of the Barbarian.
  • Helms: increase the defense of the Barbarian.
  • Boots: increase the Skill Attack of the Barbarian.

Pretty straightforward bonuses. The higher the level of your equipment, the longer it takes to merge. Focusing on increasing your Barbarian’s attack is a good strategy because the best defense is a good offense.

However, if you find yourself dying too quickly, consider leveling up your Shields and Helms. The barbarian needs to go through a wave of enemies until an act ends; during that time, his HP is constantly draining.

Sometimes, enemies may drop potions, which can be merged into better tiers. Using potions is essential to survive continuous enemy attacks. However, potions are quite limited and should be saved for facing champions.

It’s possible that, eventually, your inventory will become full, and you can’t merge any more equipment.

You can – and should – drag the equipment to a trash bin near your Barbarian to dispose of them, freeing up space to acquire new gear and continue merging.

Spend Your Gems Wisely

You are rewarded with gems as you progress through acts, complete quests, and daily missions, merge equipment, and engage in various other activities. God Of Idle – Merge Master has four distinct types of gems:

  • Ruby: Commonly used to upgrade the Barbarian’s stats or buy food for the Emperor Penguin pet.
  • Emerald: Commonly used to increase the Barbarian’s abilities or buy food for the Cutiegon pet.
  • Topaz: Commonly used to draw new skill cards.
  • Sapphire: Commonly used to upgrade the archer companion’s skills or buy food for the Wind Runner pet.

  • Jordan: These are the in-game rings, a slightly more premium currency. They are used for various features, such as acquiring costume pieces for the archer, higher-grade skill cards, or totems for mine battles.

Activate Auto Merge

It goes without saying that the more you play, the more cumbersome the merging process becomes. Knowing this, God Of Idle – Merge Master has added an Auto Merge button to assist its players.

It’s located to the right of the Camp. Click on Auto, open two more buttons for Merge and Skill, and activate the desired ones. We strongly suggest keeping Auto Merge set on “always active”, or you might get tired of dragging equipment back and forth.

You can also activate Auto Skill, which allows the Barbarian to use the skills you are equipped with in the slots. Since MP is initially only recovered through potions, we suggest taking the MP Recovery Ability upgrade for the Barbarian so the recovery rate becomes natural.

Barbarian Skills

You unlock skills at level 5. There are two types of skills: active and passive.

  • Active skills need to be equipped in the skill slots to be enabled. There are three initially and five in total when you reach level 30.
  • Passive skills provide bonuses as soon as they are acquired without needing to equip them.

To acquire new skills, you must spend Topaz to buy skill cards. Each card is completely random and makes up a skill. Depending on the skills, more than one card may be needed to activate or evolve them.

You can also use Jordan rings to summon cards. This feature has a higher chance of getting magic or rare cards, improving your Barbarian’s arsenal.

Evolve Your Companion

Starting at level 6, you acquire a companion, a loyal archer. She attacks automatically, just like the Barbarian.

However, she has a limit to the number of arrows, and you need to watch an ad to replenish them.

But just like we can use rubies and emeralds to upgrade our barbarians, we can use sapphires to upgrade the archer. We suggest getting the Enhance Quiver upgrade, which increases the maximum number of arrows.

This way, you don’t have to constantly watch an ad to refill your companion’s arrows because the quiver can hold more of them.

Summon Your Pets

Upon reaching level 9, the game introduces pets. There are three in total, and you need to summon them to participate in battles. Each pet consumes a certain amount of food while active, and you need to invest gems to acquire more rations.

  • Emperor Penguin: Unlocked at level 9. Ice Attack Damage +20% and recovers 40% of the Barbarian’s HP and MP in the Cow Dungeon.
  • Cutiegon: Unlocked at level 11. Fire Attack Damage +20% and recovers 40% of the Barbarian’s HP and MP in the Cow Dungeon.
  • Wind Runner: Unlocked at level 11. Wind Attack Damage +20% and recovers 40% of the Barbarian’s HP and MP in the Cow Dungeon.

Each pet has an elemental specialty. The more you use the pet, the higher it levels up, and the elemental damage increases. Using the pet that corresponds to your elemental skills is best since it empowers those specific ones.

Dice Game

God Of Idle – Merge Master features a Dice Game reminiscent of Monopoly, if not identical. In it, you roll a dice, and the elder moves.

Depending on where he lands on the board, you can earn gems, take damage from monsters, get imprisoned, or level up every time you complete a lap.

If the elder dies, his level is reset, and he starts over. You can get dice by killing monsters during battles or watching ads twice daily.

Boss Raid

In the World section, you can face gigantic bosses by spending a currency called portals. The boss changes daily, and each one has an element.

Once you defeat a boss, the boss, as well as its’ underlings level up, but the rewards also improve. Each boss has 5 levels with 3 difficulties in total: normal, night, and hell.

Only the most dedicated adventurers will be able to reach the hellish bosses in God Of Idle – Merge Master. If you manage to do so, many gems and puzzle pieces for totems await you as rewards.

The Mine

It’s possible to recruit goblin slaves to help in your mines and gather a huge amount of soulstones.

You need to click on Prison to Draw new slaves. The price is in Jordans, and the more you have, the higher the cost. Then, allocate them in an empty slot in the mines and watch them work tirelessly.

You need to manually check the mines and collect the soulstones. If you don’t, the cart will be complete, and they will stop mining until you empty it.

Mine Battles in God Of Idle

When you unlock the mines, you also unlock Mine Battles, the PvP equivalent of God of Idle. Mine Battles are separated into two sections:

The first is the preparation. You have a status window showing your Barbarian, archer, and any other ally accompanying you in battle against another player. So far, so good.

Then, there are the totems in God Of Idle. Totems are summoned by spending Jordan and are entirely random. You can get 1-star grade totems or 5-star grade totems, and there’s also the possibility of them being of magic quality.

Totems can be equipped in five slots on a pentagram and provide various bonuses, such as Attack Up to the Archer or a Damage Reflection percentage. Duplicate totems can be used as fodder to evolve your best ones.

After the preparation, it’s time for battle. You select a list of enemies and face them automatically. The victory earns you more soulstones and increases your Battle Points, while defeat does the opposite.

Complete Your Quests in God Of Idle – Merge Master

The quests are located in the upper left corner, just below your Barbarian’s level. However, the UI is quite discreet, and they can easily go unnoticed.

Tap once on the wizard who offers you the quest, and a mini pop-up will show your goal. Then, after you complete it, the wizard will glow with a blue aura.

Tap again and notice that there’s a reward at the end of the quest description. Tap on it to receive your prize and trigger the next quest.

Battle Pass and Daily Missions

Like any good free mobile game, God Of Idle – Merge Master has a free and premium Battle Pass. To rank up the Battle Pass this time, you need to complete Daily Missions.

These missions include watching ads, defeating monsters, completing boss raids, or battling in PvP. Each task has a weight measured in torches, and when you reach a threshold, the Battle Pass evolves, and you can claim the rewards.

However, note that clicking on an item in the Battle Pass doesn’t immediately give it to you. You need to check your mail to collect the rewards. The mail icon is just above the Battle Pass torch on the main screen.

Log-in Daily

Although you want to make the most of God of Idle – Merge Master’s idle feature, it’s essential to at least log in once a day.

This is because the game offers various bonuses for frequent logins, and these bonuses are increasingly better according to your frequency.

Occasionally, some events also reward dedicated players, like the Daily Login Event, which provides free rewards based on your total playtime on that day.

Activate Your Boosters

You can watch video ads three times a day to activate the Game Speed Boost or Gold Acquisition Boost. Each ad provides 30 minutes of bonuses, up to 1 hour and 30 minutes.

This is extremely important if you’re actively playing the game, especially when merging equipment. Combining the Gold Acquisition Boost with the Game Speed Boost significantly improves your ability to advance in acts.

Coupon Code
