Mobile game adaptations of famous manga and anime are on the rise. The thriller sci-fi classic Code Geass recently made a comeback with its gacha and tower defense-esque game, Code Geass: Lost Stories, in partnership with Komoe Game.

Relive the story from a new perspective, build a formidable team with Lelouch and other familiar characters, and exact vengeance upon The Holy Empire of Britannia with the help of this complete Code Geass: Lost Stories guide with codes.

Getting Started

The game sets you off with an exclusive character as your avatar. You can’t do much customization aside from the first name and gender. However, both can be changed anytime later in your profile section.

To progress, you must clear Main Story quests, which are accessible through the Quests button on the Home page.

The Main Story has two modes, Story and Battle, like Tower of God: New World. Story mode lets you experience the Code Geass: Lost Stories universe with fresh eyes. But to unlock chapters and other features, you have to clear stages in Battle mode.

Battle Mechanics

There are several ways to do battle in Code Geass: Lost Stories, but the rules of fighting are generally the same. You have to protect the blue base from enemies approaching you from out of the red base.

Indicated on the top left side of the battle screen is the limit of how many enemies can breach the blue base. If that limit is exceeded, you will lose. To avoid that, here are a few things to take note of:

Deployment Points

Both sides have Pilots driving Knightmare Frames (KMFs), just like in the show and manga. Summoning them on the field requires deployment points.

The fighter costs per summon are indicated on the top right side of their character card. The number of deployment points you have is the running counter marked Global Cost.

Withdrawing

If you think you have placed a KMF in the wrong spot, you can take them back by tapping where they are on the field or selecting their card on the bottom left side.

After that, press the Withdraw button. Withdrawing combatants will make them unavailable for some time.

Enemy Route

Foes will follow certain routes, which will be shown to you before combat. You can plant your allies in the middle of paths to directly block enemies or place them on high ground to strike from afar.

However, you cannot and should not put any fighter in any location. You must assign roles based on their character types.

Pilot and KMF Types

KMFs can only be either short-range or long-range in Code Geass: Lost Stories, which is indicated by the letters S and L in the character cards. No matter the fighting style, a KMF’s effectiveness entirely depends on the character type of the Pilot driving it.

Executioner

Executioners are versatile pilots. You can put them in short and long-range KMFs. They have a high base ATK rate that won’t be affected by the KMF they are on.

Guardian

You can treat Guardians as tanks. They have high HP and DEF. With the proper armor, they will be the perfect wall to block multiple enemies. Never pair them with long-range KMF.

Striker

Strikers are the best Pilots to deploy first in every battle. They have a special ability to recover deployment points after you place them, but this only works when you place them on short-range fights.

Engineer

The healers of KMFs are called Engineers. Match them up with a long-range KMF to maximize their healing capabilities.

Tactician

When paired with long-range KMFs, Tacticians can cover broad areas to release their vigorous abilities. Tacticians also have a shorter refresh time if you withdraw them.

Specialist

Specialists also have exceptional skills. They don’t have a specific KMF type that complements them, so you’d better check their abilities before using them to know if your strategy would work.

Changing Weapons

Because KMFs are just mechanical suits, you can change their attack range by changing their weapon.

You can do so by selecting the Team button on the home panel. Tap and hold a KMF to see its details. If multiple weapons are available, you can choose from any of them on the bottom left side of the screen.

Note that only long-range KMFs can hit flying units, and only short-range ones can face formidable bosses in duels that occasionally occur.

Skills

Both Pilots and KMFs have skills that will be activated during battle. Pilots will automatically trigger their skills, but the player has to initiate a KMF skill.

A yellow gauge circling a KMF indicates when its skill can be activated. It takes some time to regenerate, but the impact is worth the wait. So, like a combo in Marvel Future Fight, you should make it count. Timing is everything. To turn on a KMF skill, flick the Pilot’s icon or tap it and click the KMF Skill button.

The third and hardest skill to activate is the Player Skill at the bottom right side of the screen. It loads very slowly, so you can’t use it very much.

Scouting Pilots

You will receive KMFs as rewards, but you will need to Scout to get Pilots. Scouting is the term used in Code Geass: Lost Stories to refer to its gacha or character-pulling system.

The Regular Scout function can be accessed on your Home page beside the Quests button. You can Scout for free once daily or pay Sakuradite to draw multiple heroes simultaneously.

There are other Scouting modes that require you to pay with rare resources, which you can gather from quests and limited-time events.

Forming Teams

As you continually Scout for Pilots in Code Geass: Lost Stories, you will get more than enough to take with you in battles. Even when you reach the high ranks, you will only be able to bring up to ten fighters into every brawl.

Don’t deem your reserves useless, though, as you can still put them in other team formations. Go to the Team button in the Home panel.

Code Geass: Lost Stories

There, you will see that you can build up to ten unique teams. Experiment with different combinations to see what works best for you.

Orders

In other games, they are called guilds or clans, but in Code Geass: Lost Stories, they are called Orders. There are a number of perks to joining or creating an order.

You can request or gift items when you’re part of an order. If you are on the giving end, you will be rewarded with Geass Coins for your generosity. You will also get the same prize if you Salute or greet your fellow members once a day.

You can also have a go at Knight Missions with your buddies. Finishing these missions will give you points to activate Knight Skills, which are advantageous to everyone in the order.

Daily Quests

Apart from the Main Story quests, you can use your teams for daily quests. There are six different daily quests, and you can clear each of them three times a day.

Each quest yields different rewards, including coins and enhancement items. You can use a Drop Radar before a battle begins to double the rewards if you win.

Tip: If you have already completed a daily quest with an S rank and three stars, use Quest Skip Tickets to save time.

Expedition

Another feature in the Quests section is the Expedition. You can take on one area per day here, and the rewards are medals you can redeem for items in the Shop.

If one of your Pilots is defeated while in an Expedition, they won’t be revived until you clear the entire area. You can also choose to exit and try again tomorrow.

Once you have cleared an area, you can replay it to get extra rewards. You can also select the Skip option as you enter, so you can go straight to the prizes.

Making Enhancements

If you get stuck on a quest because your team’s overall power is low, there are a couple of things you can do to turn the tables around.

Start by tapping the Enhance feature on your Home screen, and you will see several options. Let’s discuss each of them:

Enhance Pilots

There are three ways to enhance a Pilot. The first is by boosting their EXP with Pilot Enhancement Materials. Increasing a Pilot’s level will upgrade their stats and let them unlock new skills.

You can also Awaken a Pilot. This will boost their vital stats and improve the stats of everyone in the same Pilot type.

When heroes reach their maximum level in Code Geass: Lost Stories, check if you have enough materials to perform Limit Break, the third and last way to enhance a Pilot.

Enhance KMFs

Only Pilots gain EXP, and to raise the power of KMFs, you need enhancement chips that are compatible with the weapon they wield.

When you have that, tap on the KMF you want to upgrade and select the Remodel button.

Glasgows, the starter KMFs, have two weapons you can switch between. But for the other units, you first have to unlock their secondary armament.

KMF Development

To own numerous Knightmare units of the same type, you need to perform KMF Development. This requires Core Luminous, which is a material that is unique to every KMF.

Code Geass: Lost Stories

If you have a duplicate of a KMF, you will receive a Core Luminous.

You will also get one if you go to the fourth option in the Enhance section, Dismantle KMFs. However, this method is not advised if you are a beginner in Code Geass: Lost Stories.

Training in Code Geass: Lost Stories

Another way to amp up your Pilots’ power is to let them go to Training. This feature is not under the Enhance panel and will only be unlocked after you beat Chapters 2-22 of the Main Story’s Battle mode.

Training is placed below the Shop button. It will allow you to group Pilots into five so they can train together for hours. You can choose from one to twelve hours.

Code Geass: Lost Stories

The longer they train, the more rewards you’ll get. Once they are done, they will gain EXP and occasional items.

Pilot Trust

An unseen but vital metric in your allies is their trust in you. This will increase if you regularly take them on quests.

When you increase a Pilot’s trust level, you are increasing their Awakening tier. Thus, you could say it’s also crucial for their enhancement.

Moreover, you will get more dialogue if you put a Pilot with a high trust level on your Home screen.

Code Geass: Lost Stories Codes

One way to improve your team’s overall power is by redeeming codes. Below is a list of all codes, expired and active, for Code Geass: Lost Stories.

Final Words

With its tower defense battle settings, Code Geass: Lost Stories sets itself apart from many modern game adaptations of anime series. And it’s still undergoing upgrades as it is newly released. Some features, like the Arena, are still not optimized. So, look out for updates in the near future.
