Chimaera – The New Troop

The biggest addition to the game comes in the form of a new character, the Chimaera. This two-headed flying beast mini can target and damage two distinct opponents at the same time.

That isn’t all, as one head deals poison damage while the second deals in lighting, signified by the base abilities of this troop which are Poison Spit and Lightning Ball respectively.

The Chimaera will cost five gold to deploy, and although this new troop will be acquirable from the Guild Warchest, as a PvP reward, and in the stores on three different occasions throughout the season, it won’t be available in the G.R.I.D until Season 3.

Moving on to the talents of the Chimaera, players can expect this troop to have the following talents:

  • Corrosive Breath (Poison Spit inflicts twice as much poison)
  • Frost Shock (Lightning Ball applies frost on hit)
  • Leviathan (Gain 10% additional health per deployment)

The new troop isn’t the only addition to the game as a brand new PvP map is also playable in the new season. The Arathi Basin’s mountain-rimmed and resource-rich valley can be unlocked by winning PvE battles and earning eight Sigils.

The map will be playable all season long and will include a rotating selection of towers and modifiers that are sure to keep the map from being stale. The iced-out Jaina Proudmoore and super sneaky Maiev Shadowsong emotes will also be earnable by playing on this map.

Winter Season Celebration

The final addition to this game through the second season is the winter theme. From December 26 through January 1, players who have at least 25 Sigils will get the option to claim a free present that will come with Minis, coins, and XP!

Additionally, there will also be a slew of winter offers available throughout the aforementioned period so it might be a good idea to check in every day to see if anything catches your eye.
