Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG is a mobile RPG that was developed by Alda Games. The game allows the player to control a party of heroes and tasks him with completing all kinds of quests, fighting against powerful enemies in epic battles, increasing their heroes’ power, and much more.

Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG – The Basics
As mentioned above, the game puts the player in the shoes of a leader of a hero party titled the Summoner.
The player is then in charge of summoning all kinds of heroes and is tasked with leading their party through a series of battles as the story of the game unfolds.
As the player progresses, their party unlocks new abilities, new items and currency are obtained and power levels increase, culminating in glorious battles against all kinds of bosses.

Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG – Game Modes
Like many other mobile titles of this genre, the Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG features multiple different game modes that feature different mechanics and gameplay loop so let’s take a look at them.
Campaign – A set of acts, each consisting of a set of ten missions and a boss encounter that will lead the player through the game’s story. There are two different campaign difficulty modes. Normal and Hard with the latter being more difficult but offering better rewards for completion.

Item Dungeons – This mode becomes available once the player reaches level 10.
Elven Conquest – This feature is not yet available in the game.
Arena – This mode becomes available once the player reaches level 7 and allows the player to fight battles against other player opponents. In order to be able to challenge other players, you will need to spend tickets which you can earn or purchase.
Large-Scale Battles – This feature is not yet available in the game.
Special Events – This feature is not yet available in the game. However, we do know that these events will allow players to earn unique currency and summon scrolls and other important items.
Demonic Event – This feature is not yet available in the game.
Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG – Combat
Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG comes with a turn-based combat system. This means that each of the heroes and units on the battlefield take turns attacking and making their moves one by one. Each of the heroes comes equipped with different moves and abilities so let’s examine their toolkit closely.
Basic Attack – Each of the heroes has its own basic attack. This is usually either a simple charge, a strike with a melee weapon, or a projectile shot from a ranged weapon. These attacks feature the same affinity as the heroes performing them and enjoy the same benefits and drawbacks.

Special Abilities – Each hero comes with one or more special abilities. These abilities can be anything depending on the hero type and can range from Area of Effect attacks, Strong single target attacks, heals, buffs, debuffs, and more. Special Abilities can also be divided into active and passive.
Passive Abilities – These abilities are always active by default and provide constant buffos or debuffs to enemy and ally heroes.

Active Abilities – These abilities need to be activated by the player and require a target to be used.
Chance Abilities – Some heroes come with special abilities baked into them that have a random chance of occurring. A good example of this is the Hound’s counterattack.
Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG – Affinity System
Every hero in Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG comes with its own affinity that brings unique advantages and disadvantages in combat. There are four different types of affinity so let’s take a closer look at them.

Fire – Heroes with the Fire affinity deal 30% more damage to Heroes with the Wind affinity.
Wind – Heroes with the Wind affinity deal 30% more damage to Heroes with the Water affinity.
Water – Heroes with the Water affinity deal 30% more damage to Heroes with the Fire affinity.
No affinity – Heroes with no affinity neither deal nor take any extra damage to and from other heroes.
Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG – Hero Level and Rank
Every hero in Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG, has its own level and rank and both can and should be increased in order for heroes to become stronger so let’s learn how the player can do that.
Leveling Up
In order for a hero to level up, the player will need to either sacrifice other heroes or use XP potions. Hero levels are displayed by numbers and the higher the level of a hero, the stronger they become and the higher their stats increase.
Heroes can gain ten only ten levels per rank. Once they reach the maximum level for their current rank, they will be required to rank up before they can continue leveling up.

Ranking Up
Ranks are displayed by the number of stars on the Hero’s portrait and determine how high a certain hero can level up, and vicariously their power. In order for heroes to rank up, the player will need to sacrifice other powerful heroes or spend a unique resource called Ambrosia.

Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG – Summoning
Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG features its own gacha system appropriately called Summoning.
The way this system works is by allowing players to perform rituals and summon different types of heroes such as Witches and Hounds.
In order to perform a successful summoning, players are required to spend scrolls. There are four different types of scrolls and each comes with its own properties.

Common Scrolls – Allows the player to summon Common, Uncommon, and Rare heroes.
Uncommon Scrolls – Allows the player to summon Uncommon, Rare, and Epic heroes.
Rare Scrolls – Allows the player to summon Rare, Epic, and Legendary heroes.
Epic Scrolls – Allows the player to summon Epic and Legendary heroes. It is worth noting that a Legendary hero is guaranteed to be summoned for each 20 Epic scrolls spent.

Like many role-playing games, Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG features a wide variety of heroes that players can summon, and each of those heroes comes with its own affinity, stats, and more importantly role. With that said, let’s take a look at the main three hero roles in Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG.
Damage Dealer – This type of hero’s sole purpose is to deal as much damage as possible to enemy units. That means that these heroes usually have increased accuracy, critical damage, critical chance, and other offensive stats, however, they often lack defense and hit points making them easily killable if they are not properly cared for.

Tank – Tanks usually come with increased defensive abilities and a larger hit point pool which makes sense considering that their main job is to soak up as much of the enemy’s damage as possible and protect their allies with their abilities. While these heroes can take a beating, they often lack any notable attacking capabilities.

Support – Support heroes are tasked with providing assistance to their allies by either buffing them, casting protective magic on them, or healing them when they take damage.
Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG – Campaign Missions
The campaign of the game consists of acts and each act consists of ten campaign missions that end with a boss battle. Each of the missions also comes with different optional requirements that award Stars if completed by the player.
These optional objectives often put an interesting spin on the missions themselves by requiring the player to not have any party members die or to complete the mission with fewer heroes.
As the player collects the stars, they will slowly progress towards more valuable rewards such as currency and summoning scrolls.

Like many similar mobile games, Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG features a bunch of quests that players can complete to earn all kinds of rewards such as bonus experience, different types of currency, and much more.
There are five different kinds of quests in Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG so let’s put them under the microscope.
Progression Quests
Progression quests are the most unique by far when compared to other types of quests and are usually related to the game’s campaign or the arena.
These quests consist of all kinds of tasks that can range from completing a specific level to upgrading heroes, to obtaining a certain number of stars. Rewards for completing Progression Quests can also vary depending on the quest.

Daily Quests
Daily Quests are missions that players are required to complete within twenty-four hours. Once that time period expires, the missions are reset and a new set of missions will appear. These quests are usually smaller in scope and don’t require a lot of time or effort to complete.

Weekly Quests
Weekly Quests are similar to Daily Quests however, they reset every seven days. They are usually more complex compared to Daily Quests and require more time and effort on the player’s part.

Monthly Quests
Monthly Quests are a complex set of objects that the player is required to complete within a single month. These quests are reset after thirty days and are by far the most complex and require a larger time investment.

Special Quests
Special missions are unique missions featured in Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG. Not much is known about these quests due to the feature still not present in the game.

Energy – Currency required to take part in the main story missions. Refreshes over time.
Gold – The most basic type of currency required to purchase heroes, items, or other types of currency at the Trader.

Scrolls – A type of currency required in order to summon heroes.
Crystals – The premium currency of the game that can be earned by completing missions or purchased directly from the in-game shop in exchange for real cash.
Ambrosia – A type of currency required for increasing the rank of heroes.

XP Nectar – A type of currency that allows the player to level a single hero to the maximum.
Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG – Trader
The Trader is a feature in Summoners Raid – War Legend RPG that allows the player to purchase things such as scrolls, heroes, potions, and other types of currency in exchange for gold.
The way the trader works is that it will feature a specific amount of items that the player can purchase at any point in time provided that the player has the required currency.
Regardless of whether the player purchases every item available, the Trader’s stock will only refresh after a certain amount of time has passed and the stock itself will be randomized.
However, the player can refresh the Trader’s stock on demand by spending gold, or by watching in-game ads.

Each and every one of the heroes that you can summon comes with its own stats that determine their power so let’s take a closer look at them.
HP – Hit Points – Hero’s max health. If it reaches zero, your hero will be killed.
DEF – Defense – Increases your hero’s ability to reduce incoming damage.
DMG – Damage – the amount of damage that your hero can inflict when attacking.

C.DAMAGE – Critical Damage – % of bonus damage that your hero deals with a critical attack.
C.CHANCE – Critical Chance – % of chance to inflict critical damage when attacking the enemy.
ACC – Accuracy – increases the chance for your heroes to place debuffs on enemies when attacking.
