Beast Lord: The New Land – The Peace Shield
Before we get into the details of the game, it is important to know that every player starts with a Peace Shield. The shield protects the new players until they can learn the ropes of the game and its systems and are able to safely build and manage their empire. The shield lasts for seven days and will protect your kingdom from being scouter or attacked by other players, however, it also stops you from doing the same. With that said, let’s get into the nitty-gritty.

Beast Lord: The New Land – Classes
Upon reaching Lord level 7, the player will be offered a choice of three classes. Each of these impact specific aspects of the game and come with its own advantages and disadvantages as well as a unique building so let’s take a closer look at them.
Collector
This class is for players who prefer to avoid conflict and are focused on surviving by gathering and hoarding huge amounts of resources. As such, the players who choose this class will be at a disadvantage when they are attacking other players and their armies will move much slower across the world map. The Collector’s unique building is the Collector Camp which grants a high amount of resources.

Invader
As its name suggests, this class heavily focuses on stealing resources from other players found within your vicinity. Invader armies can carry more loot when pillaging and are less likely to die in battle when they are defeated. They also have the ability to heal their wounds faster and can fight more often compared to other classes. However, Invaders suffer from low resource production and gain a debuff when they are harvesting resources. Invader’s unique building is the Invader Camp which grants them an additional march slot that comes with an increased attack and defense when fighting other players.

Developer
The Developer class heavily focuses on constructing huge empires and improving their efficiency. As such this class comes with reduced food costs when training units and somewhat higher honey production. Developers also get a discount when trading at the Squirrel Habitat. Developer armies also come with higher defenses and an increased health pool when under attack. The Developer’s unique building is the Developer Camp which is essentially a market that allows your allies to get resources and purchase different things in exchange for honey.

Feeding Grounds
The Feeding Grounds is a place where your animals feed. All of your animals consume fruit and grass, so making sure that your Feeding Grounds are filled with both is very important. Upgrading your Feeding Grounds will allow you to increase the amount of food that can be stockpiled allowing you to focus your efforts on other things.

Evolution Fungi
The Evolution Fungi is your main research center and allows you to upgrade various things such as the combat abilities of your animals, your territory development, or your production. It is worth noting that you can research and upgrade this building at the same time.

Falcon Habitat
The Falcon Habitat serves as your main survey building and allows you to recruit Falcons. Due to being able to fly very quickly, Falcons make excellent scouts and can quickly fly around and reveal your surroundings, marking points of interest in the process.

Territory Entrance and Toxic Briar
These two buildings, while technically separate, essentially serve the same purpose. Their main purpose is to keep enemy invaders away. The Territory Entrance can garrison units that will defend your territory should the need to do so arise while the Toxic Briar will damage enemies who try to invade your lands.

Lairs
Lairs are essentially your barracks and are primarily used to produce units that can be used on the battlefield. There are three different types, herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. We will discuss this further in the Units section. Upgrading your Lairs will increase the number of units that can be trained simultaneously as well as allow you to train more powerful units. Similarly to the Evolution Fungi, Lairs can be upgraded while training units at the same time.

Troop Camp
The Troop Camp is a very important structure, especially in the early game as it allows the player to upgrade the low-tier units to higher tiers. However, it is worth noting that these abilities need to be researched first at the Evolution Fungi.

Healing Springs
Healing Springs are essentially your hospitals and essentially exist to heal your beasts. When a beast falls in battle, it will occasionally get injured instead of being killed. Those beasts that get hurt but manage to survive will need to take some time off and heal in the Spring.

Alpha Nest

Beast Lord: The New Land – Units
In order to expand your empire and make it prosperous, you will need to recruit units. However, before you can do that, there are different stats that you need to understand, so let’s get into it.
Photo: StarFortune
- HP – This indicates the amount of health that your unit has
- Attack – The amount of damage that a unit can deal
- Defense – Unit’s damage reduction
- Power – The amount of player power contributed by the unit
- March Speed – This indicates how fast the unit moves in the overworld
- Load – How much resources a unit can carry
- Upkeep Cost – The amount of resources that the unit consumes
Unit Types
Beast Lord: The New Land lets you recruit a variety of units. Each of them serves a different purpose and is essential to your kingdom, so let’s take a look at them.
Elephant – The elephant is your demolition expert and its main task is to clear the area by knocking down trees so you can expand your empire.
Photo: StarFortune
Lemurs – Lemurs are your main unit as they are responsible for everything that is going on in your base. Regardless of whether you need to create a new building, upgrade an existing one, or resupply your resources, you will need a Lemur to do it. One great thing about Lemurs is that you get three of them upon finishing the tutorial. Since everything takes time to build and upgrade, it is a good idea not to have any idle lemurs at any point in time so try and keep them busy as much as possible.
Photo: StarFortune
Herbivores – Herbivores are strong units that have high defense and large health pools and as such, they are well suited for front-row combat despite their low damage output. They are essentially tanks.
Carnivores – If Herbivores are tanks then Carnivores would essentially be your fighters. Carnivores don’t have high survivability stats such as defense and hp but they make up for it by being able to deal large amounts of damage. They are ideal placement would be in the middle or in the back of your army.
Photo: StarFortune
Omnivores – Omnivores come with average stats all around and neither attack nor defense are their specialities. However, they are the fastest-moving units around which makes them excellent for reinforcing various parts of your army if you find yourself struggling.
Photo: StarFortune
Alphas – Alphas are essentially your generals and are more powerful than regular units. They also have unique abilities and their strength can be increased in various ways such as by feeding them Wisdom fruit or increasing their level. You can have up to three Alphas.
Photo: StarFortune
The Lord – The Lord is a male lion and a special unit, however despite being a unit, it isn’t really playable and acts more like a building. The Lord is responsible for many different things related to game progression so upgrading your Lord should always be your focus. Things such as resource-generating speed, research limits, and maximum troop tier are also connected to your Lord.

Beast Lord: The New Land – Resources
Gathering and managing resources is a huge part of Beast Lord: The New Land. After all, your animal subjects have to eat and drink to survive so making sure that you have a surplus of grass, fruit, and water is of utmost importance. Constructing buildings and upgrading different things also require specific resources so make sure you are constantly gathering them from nodes and creating a nice big stockpile. There are seven different types of resources that can be gathered: fruit, leaves, grass, wet soil, sand, water, and honey.

Beast Lord: The New Land – Wild Beasts
The world map is populated by wild beasts which are neutral animals that can be attacked by your armies. Defeating wild beasts will increase your Alpha’s level and grant you resource packs that contain a variety of rewards.

Beast Lord: The New Land – Herds
When exploring the overworld, you may come across Herds which are essentially large groups of strong animals that serve as boss encounters. The best way to defeat Herds and get that sweet loot is to form a rally and call your allies to aid you, especially if you are a new player.
