Starting Off

As soon as you finalize your choice you’ll load into the world and be free to explore the game as much as you like, although you’ll be at level one, so we don’t recommend venturing too far. The starter island you spawn in will depend on which faction you choose.
You’ll also see both your health bar and your energy bar in the center of the screen. Abilities and other actions use up your energy, though it automatically regenerates so you don’t have to worry about that too much. On the other hand, if your health reaches zero then your character will despawn.
General Controls

With the starting out of the way, it’s time to quickly go through the controls you can expect from the game.
Similar to other Roblox games, you’ll see an on-screen analog stick you can use to move your character around, as well as an arrow button at the right of the screen you can use to jump.

Blox Fruits isn’t just about running around, as literally the first quest you’re given will have you fight enemies to level up. Below the health and energy bars, you’ll see the combat option. Tapping it will have your character take up the action pose, which will be the typical boxer pose at the start since you’ll be unarmed.
In the combat pose, you can tap on the left side of the screen to have your character do a melee attack. Just make sure you don’t accidentally tap the dash, jump, or walk buttons, as those will, of course, not make your character attack.

Once you unlock new abilities, you’ll unlock the option to use the buttons on the bottom-right side of the screen to unleash abilities. These range from regular tackle attacks to elemental or sword abilities depending on what you’ve unlocked for your character.
The Blox Fruits World

Moving on, it’s time to talk a little about the Blox Fruits world, which is arguably the best part of the game. You start off on a small island where other players can’t attack you, something that is indicated by the distracting notification telling you that you’re in a PVP-safe zone.
As you walk towards the dock and get into the water, whether it be by buying a boat or the old-fashioned way, you’ll realize just how expansive the world really is. This game has several different types of islands, and they’re all separated by large bodies of water.
Every island is completely different. While some are plain jungles where you’ll just find some bandits and maybe some resources, others are bustling cities full of people and quest-givers.
Finding Quest Locations

Speaking of quest-givers, the single best way of progressing in Blox Fruits is by accepting quests and going where they take you. If you aren’t sure where to find your next quest, you can tap the hourglass icon on the left side of the screen, select the quest you want to track, and then tap the ‘track’ option.
By doing this, a needle will show up on your screen, and it’ll turn green when you’re walking in the right direction, making sure that you don’t get lost. To make it even easier, you also see the exact distance.

Once you’re close enough to a quest-giver NPC, the screen will show a huge exclamation mark to tell you that you can start a quest in that location. Get close to the NPC and interact with them to accept the quest. You’ll also get information on the rewards you can expect for completing the quest, as well as what the recommended level is.
Once a quest has been accepted you can check the left side of the screen to see the quest’s requirements, and tap it to expand them if needed. There’s no need to go back to the person who gave you the quest once you complete it as you’ll automatically get the rewards as soon as you meet the completion conditions.

Leveling Up

Increasing Mastery Level

By taking down enemies using certain types of fighting styles, you’ll increase your mastery level. For example, by defeating enough enemies with your first you’ll increase your melee mastery. An increased mastery results in new abilities related to that mastery being unlocked.
As we mentioned above, abilities can be used from the bottom-right corner of the screen, although they all have a set amount of cooldown. Ability mastery can also be increased to make them more effective.

The first method is to collect enough money to simply buy the blox fruit of your choosing. Almost every inhabited island has a blox fruit seller that you can approach and interact with and he’ll show you the fruits he has in his possession.

These fruits are rather expensive, but the upside is that you can purchase them whenever you want.
If you use Robux instead of using cash, then you’ll permanently unlock the fruit and can equip it at any time. However, if you use cash then the fruit will be temporary.
The other main way of acquiring these fruits is by simply coming across them while traveling the seas. Fruits spawn in every server hourly and in a 45-minute duration during weekends, and you can come across them with enough luck.
Other Ways of Getting Blox Fruits
If the two methods we highlighted weren’t to your liking then worry not as we have some more ways you can acquire blox fruits too, although they aren’t as common as the previous ones.
- Do the most damage in a factory raid
- Defend Castle on the Sea from pirates and deal the final blow to the last enemy.
